Do you fancy playing all your old Gameboy, SNES, Megadrive or Game Geargames on your new PC, as well as many older arcade machines? Well go to
emucamp.com for up to date information on the latest emulators.
Programmers are working on emulators for newer machines too. The playstation
emulator PSEmu is moving at a good pace, and it may soon be time to throw
away your Playstation and play the games on your PC (well maybe not quite yet). The UltraHLE Nintendo 64
emulator set the world on fire in early 1999 with it's previously unheard of speed and compatibility.
There were even rumours that Nintendo were going to sue the authors!

High Tech Websites
Along the motorways in the UK are small sensors at the side of theroad that mesure the speed of the cars on that stretch of road. Youcan buy a small gadget that you can keep in your car which warns you where the roads are slowest. Now you can see that information from the comfort of your own web browser. Visit the Traffic Net page to see all this in action. (You will need to have downloaded Shockwavefrom the Macromedia website before this will work)
Another fascinating site is the AudioNet homepage. This uses the RealPlayerplugin to provide live video and audio over the Net. The sound quality is getting better all the time, (the video quality is barely watchable) but it's fun anyway. There is also a CD Jukebox where you can listen from a selection of 450 music CDs.
If you need webspace to make your own homepage, or are looking for somewhere to chat to people, or a
really lively collection of online forums, visit theglobe.com which
can best be described as a community site. It's great!
Another good site is deja.com which will let you search a huge list of
newsgroup messages past and present. It also has it's own discussion groups, called 'Communities', and a
large voting thing called Ratings. You'll just have to go and see it to find out.
